We are a multi-generational company with humble beginnings. In 1968, Joe Crain founded Crain’s Air Conditioning serving the wonderful residents of Kings County with a promise to provide excellent customer service they can trust and depend on. In 2003, his son Mike Crain took over helping Kings County residents HVAC needs providing the same dedication to his customers. Today, Mike and his daughter Lindsay are continuing to uphold that promise to Kings County residents made nearly 60 years ago.

How often should I have my Unit Serviced?

We recommend having your unit serviced twice a year, before summer months and before winter months. This is to insure your unit is working properly for the seasons and also helps extend the life of your unit.

How frequently should i change my filter?

we recommend changing your filter every 3-6 months unless you have pets or live in a very dusty area then it should be changed monthly to help your unit run smoothly.

the power went out/there was a power surge my unit doesn’t work now, what do i do?

soon as the power goes out or you notice a surge turn your unit off at the thermostat and leave it off for 30 minutes after the power returns/Stabilizes. if you were not able to turn It Off immediately, turn it off for 30 minutes so the unit can “reboot”, if that does not fix the problem we are more than happy to come out and check it out.

my thermostat is blank/isn’t working, what can i do?

Try replacing the batteries in your thermostat. most thermostats take 2 AA batties.

i just turned the heat on for the first time why does it smell like burning?

if you smell burning the first time you turn the heat on its generally dust burning off, having it serviced prior to turning the heat on will help reduce or Eliminate the burning smell. The smell will fade after the heat has ran for a little while.
